Monitoring Repeatability in Die Casting

Shibaura Machine’s die casting machine gives you the ability to control and monitor repeatability in real-time, at a glance. We designed our trend and line display screens within the TOSCAST controller to offer users a comprehensive overview of up to 48 characteristics that can be quickly accessed and analyzed.
Injection to Injection Repeatability Verified
Die casting gives you the ability to create custom, complex parts by the thousands- even millions. The TOSCAST trend and line displays are one of the best ways to verify and ensure the repeatability of these parts, allowing the user to monitor the various statistics for chosen characteristics of the machine.
Trend Display
The TOSCAST trend display screen charts the maximum, minimum, average, and standard deviation values of up to 48 process characteristics set within your chosen parameters. That means these characteristics have high and low limits and offer several actions from sounding an alarm to rejecting the casting if either is reached. This screen allows the user to quickly see how the overall process is moving from injection to injection.
Line Display
The line display works closely with the trend display to allow you to understand what is going on from injection to injection. The line display is a pushdown display of the past and current 50 cycle characters where high and low limit values can be programmed. The display shows the same characteristics as the trend display, but in total numbers to offer a glance to see how fast you are going, where you are trending, and more. The line screen allows the user to at a glance determine the final disposition of the casting produced.
The monitoring offered in the trend and line displays allows for confirmation of the highest quality repeatable part. Between the two display screens, the technician can see how repeatable the process is and what might be the deviations. The statistics can also be offloaded via memory cards or the dPAQET system.
