Less Energy, More Performance: INVAT’s Sustainable Moulding Evolution
INVAT Srl is one of the leading international players in the production of closures for metal, glass and PET, with over 500 million pieces produced annually for both Italian and international markets.
In its new facility, INVAT has adopted fully electric Shibaura Machine Series II/III IMMs, gaining several advantages such as improved repeatability, cleaner and more precise moulding processes, and a significant reduction in production costs.
Despite using the same mould and identical moulding conditions, multiple on-site assessments confirmed that the fully electric machine delivers significantly higher energy savings.
Invat Srl: Since 1960, Evolving with Quality and All-Electric Efficiency
Sustainability in Action: 60% Less Energy, Same Performance
" In our ongoing commitment to innovation and efficiency, we conducted an in-plant comparison between a hydraulic press and the all-electric Shibaura Machine. Under identical conditions, same mould and clamping force, the electric injection molding machines recorded an energy consumption of just 13 kWh, compared to 35 kWh for the hydraulic model. That’s a 60% reduction in energy use. ”
